It’s 37 degrees celcius today in Melbourne. Another hot one and my water bowls are topped up for the local wildlife.
I came across a smallish blue tongue lizard yesterday living in a retaining wall near my clothesline, which is a perfect spot as the local spider community reside there too. And a couple of days ago I watched as Mr. Echidna meandered from my backyard to the front garden, digging with his nose in the river pebbles and making a big mess; funny to watch. He was as big as a basketball. Then he scooted up and into my carpet rose bed and I haven’t seen him since.
