I found myself having good coffee in a Footscray cafe whilst waiting for a family member at the Tattoo shop.
Trying to work smarter at sketching when out and about in my little journal and left the coffee I spilled on the page as all a part of it.
The man on the stool kept getting up and then down expressively chatting with his mate. I found this tricky and nearly felt brave enough to ask him to stay put for five but nah I didn’t as I actually was enjoying listening to their convo, think they were muso’s which was interesting to me.
I was overlooking yummy cakes in the sliding glass cabinet at the window looking out onto the street. The looseness of the ink appeals to me but think I prefer a pencil and some colour.
I’m pleased to share with you my latest work for an exhibition that is running now until the end of June. The theme is DESATURATE – An expression in Black and White.
With some time spent scribbling ideas down and setting my collectible doll up in a still life I finally came up with this which I have called ‘A magically colored life’. Just my play on words a bit. Bye for now.
