I do love my early Friday’s when I only work a half day. I’d mostly dash home, whip up a quick lunch for my home schoolers; but more often stop at my favourite Pattisiere and grab some homemade pies and a cake each for the boys and I. It’s time for school to go back next Tuesday but I will miss being with them on my half Friday’s.
I should do the housework then but will be happy to sit and draw at my little table that looks out to my little deck.
Another year has passed and it has been hard, albeit creative too and filled with loads of love from my doggy Homer by my side in the studio.
My beautiful Mum passed just before last Christmas and I guess we (our family) will find it a bit tough each year at this time. They say it gets easier with time, but now it feels more permanent each time I go to grab the phone to call her.
Thanks so much from my arty heart for all of your follows, support and encouragement in my artistic journey. Knowing there are those out in this space who read, acknowledge and show interest makes this creative life all that bit more relevant.
We are heading into a hot summer in Oz this Christmas and I live in a bush fire prone bushy haven; so always mindful of this amongst the Gum trees.
If you have snow for your Christmas, love that white fluffy powder while you think of us sweltering through our BBQ’s on Christmas day.
Yay for Summer and our beautiful beaches over these holidays and watching Homer stalk little native froggy’s in our backyard pool.
Can’t wait to paint on the beach in the sun under a Tea tree.
