Soft play making foggy mountains in Japan
I had a little splurge and got myself a little set of pan pastels in the ‘greyscale’. Playing in these soft pigments that glide on like velvet and feel very painterly was fab. Can’t wait for more playtime. 🙂

Art in the classroom
It was so great to finally get into the classroom a couple of weeks ago and give the boys an art experience that hopefully gave them a taste for art. I tried to show them how easy it can be to create some art just by working tonally and concentrating on shape, blocking in and not thinking I am drawing a Lion, but rather that I am drawing a shape that looks like this or that. Making large loose shapes let the boys feel emotion in their art too which I could see by their their eagerness to show me their work. All of the art was wonderful and I even…
